The Strokes return with 'Oblivius,' their first new song in three years

For Oblivius, the Strokes' first song in three years, the band sticks to their classic formula: fuzzy electric guitars and Julian Casablancas' phone booth-distorted vocals over a crashing chorus.

Casablancas shared the band's new single on his new Sirius XMU radio show on Thursday, announcing that a new Strokes EP, Future Present Past, will follow on June 3.

Along with the new song, the band also shared more info about their new EP — it's a three-song release, the two other tracks titled Drag Queen and Threat of Joy — and announced a warm-up show at the Capitol Theater in NYC on May 31 ahead of their headlining stint at the Governors Ball music festival on June 3.
